Statement of Relevance
National Grid (Grain LNG) is a major importer of LNG with a terminal on the Isle of Grain connected UK gas grid. This project was supported over an eighteen month period with Energy & Power assisting the client team in several areas.
The work was undertaking in London and by an on-site team. Main areas were the improvement of the boil off gas management system – control and operation as well as improvement to the jetty.
Energy and Power supported Centrica and Grain LNG in the first two phases of development at the LNG import terminal at the Isle of Grain in Kent.
Description of Services
First Contract – Engineering design and support asscoiated with conversion of the plant to a peak shaving facility. Energy and Power scope included technical assistance from conceptual design to implementation of plant modifications for the LNG terminal
Second Contract – Consultancy and Project Selection including recommendations with regard to the addition of further storage tanks.
