Description of Services

Sasol was considering a project for the construction of a Gas to Liquids plant, utilising gas from the South Pars Field. This field is vast in size and located in the Iranian side of the Persian Gulf. It was reported to have reserves to the order of 400 tcf of recoverable gas. The project was undertaken in many stages: at the first stage, Energy and Power provided a cost estimate for an individual 1,400 mmscfd development, with a single platform cluster and dedicated pipeline to shore.

At a later stage Energy and Power reviewed the impact of having standalone utilities for the onshore Reception Facilities as compared to using Downstream utilities supply. A range of systems were considered and cost estimates for the preferred options were submitted. A brief review of using construction facilities was also undertaken at this point
