Energy and Power is carrying out the detailed design and procurement for a Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) storage and feed system project at Solutia’s Newport site in South Wales.
Description of Services
The scheme covers the modification and installation of an existing storage tank and the provision of off-loading and feed pumps along with a delivery system including flow meters and automated valves to dose batch quantities of KOH into four (4) vessels. The material of construction is 316L stainless steel with lined pipe specified for pipework prior to entry into the receiving vessels to accommodate a highly aggressive acidic atmosphere. A safety shower and other support utilities will be provided.
Energy and Power will be providing site and technical query resolution, commissioning support, “as built” documentation and project manuals
Energy and Power is providing a full range of engineering design, project management and safety, health and environmental management to the project.
